An Urban Culture Podcast by Mia Stylez
WRNA® podcast is a series that seeks to entertain, inform, and educate the African American community. This podcast series will provide raw, uncut dialogue regarding the state of “black”.
The podcast series was born out of frustration of the lack of masculinity in today’s society; specifically in the Black community. Over the past three decades, we’ve seen the negative impact mass incarceration has had on black families, and a broken system that continues to marginalize people of color. Black women have become the primary breadwinners, which has shifted the dynamics of the black household and caused a hatred of independent black women. 2Pac’s Keep ya Head Up states “we have a race of babies that will hate the ladies that make the babies”. We are seeing art imitate life.
